Event Monitor For Windows
Every version of the desktop app, newest first, with what each one changed. Old versions stay here unless one is withdrawn for a bug.
What changed
- An alert that was corrected after it went out now shows its corrected headline, even the first time the app opens.
- After this update, your inbox picks up any correction it missed, without showing old alerts again.
What changed
- The first version. Event Monitor lives in the system tray, starts with Windows, and opens your inbox when you click its icon.
- Global and US Event Alerts pop up in the corner with a sound. Open one on Event Monitor, copy its link, or dismiss it. Up to three stay on screen at once.
- Life-safety warnings, like tornado and flash flood warnings, always play their own tone, even when muted or in quiet hours.
- The inbox keeps your last alerts, and streams International, US and Local headlines. Click a story to open it in place.
- Local news for your county, set by ZIP code.
- Pick your alert sound: four calm ones or sixteen meme sounds. Quiet hours hold the sound overnight.
- Sign in with a 6-digit code sent to your email to get alerts for your own place.
- Updates install themselves, and uninstalling removes everything the app kept on this computer.
